Rescue Work and Field Deployments
The ASPCA is a national organization that deploys when requests come in from local authorities to assist in animal cruelty cases. We help with investigations, forensic evidence collection and processing, rescuing animals and transporting them to safety, setting up temporary facilities to shelter and treat the animals, placing them with local shelters once they’re ready for adoption and providing legal services to ensure that those involved are brought to justice.
The ASPCA deploys many times a year—four times in 2020—to rescue animal victims of abuse and neglect around the country. For a closer look at how we execute these large-scale raids, rescue hundreds of animals at a time and help local law enforcement build a case against abusers, visit Behind the Scenes of an Animal Rescue .
